In order to get to know you better, understand
your dental wants and needs, and help you manage the
conditions that exist in your mouth, we perform a complete
and comprehensive exam. We will take x-rays to evaluate
the condition of your teeth and gums, as well as a panoramic
x-ray to evaluate the health of your jaws and the bone
around the teeth.
The panoramic x-ray is also part of our
cancer exam. Your doctor will examine your mouth, chart
all existing restorations, and evaluate potential problem
areas. He or she will use an intra-oral camera to help
diagnose problems and help you understand how they can
be treated.
The doctor will discuss with you your
dental wants and expectations, and apply them to your
dental needs to maintain a pleasing smile and healthy
mouth. If needed, and with your help, a plan of treatment
will be determined and appointments made to bring your
mouth back to health and attend to your concerns. |
